Gerriey Wainaina is a Christian music artist and multi-instrumentalist born in Eldoret, Kenya. He lived in Nairobi, Kenya and is currently based in Seattle, Washington.
Gerriey's music lies under the genre of Afro-fusion. He plays the piano/keyboard, alto/soprano/tenor saxophone, recorder, harmonica, drums, acoustic and bass guitar. His work has not gone unnoticed as he was the winner of Talent Mania Awards [Kenya] 2008, a nominee at Groove Awards [Kenya] 2010, Talanta Awards USA 2010 & Sauti Awards USA 2015. Moreover, he was voted winner of the 'Artist of the Year' award at the Xtreme Teeniez Awards 2013 and 'Diaspora's Best Saxophonist' award at the Diaspora Awards Seattle 2018. His song "Amani" won 'Song of the Year for Peace' under All African Council of Churches 2010. He has collaborated with top Kenyan artists such as Mbuvi, Ian Mbugua, Hellen Mtawali, Nameless, Daddy Owen, Bahati, Emmy Kosgei and Frasha among others. He currently has two albums under his belt: "Kabambe" 2009 and "Walk the Talk" 2012. Most importantly, Gerriey enjoys being a husband and father.
